As the Canadiens try to get a new contract done with P.K. Subban, a change in the new CBA adds to the intrigue. In the old agreement, a team could take an eligible player to arbitration, which blocked anyone else from slapping him with an offer sheet. The Predators did this with Shea Weber in 2011 (Philadelphia went after him in 2012). Now, however, even a player taken to arbitration by his club has a window (until July 5) where an offer sheet can be signed. Something to keep an eye on.

Das heisst folgendes für die Avs: Für den Fall, dass sich Factor und die Avs nicht auf einen Vertrag einigen können und Factor die QO ausschlägt, besteht ein 5-Tages-Fenster, in welchem Factor erneut ein Offer Sheet erhalten könnte.
Ich hoffe daher nach wie vor, dass sich die beiden Seiten auf einen 5 - 7 Jahresvertrag einigen können und der Cap-Hit von Factor unter 6 Mio liegen wird.
