- Despite his 26-10-4 regular season record for the Toronto Marlies in the AHL, goaltender Justin Pogge has not been the starter in the Calder Cup playoffs. The decision was made to put veteran Scott Clemmensen between the pipes for all seven of Toronto's first round games against San Antonio. The decision is puzzling, given Pogge's stature within the organization as one of their top prospects. A playoff run would go a long way towards his development. The Marlies won their first series in franchise history Monday to move onto the second round.
