Talks between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks resurfaced this week as they revisited the possibility of shipping goalie Roberto Luongo to Toronto in exchange for center Tyler Bozak, a prospect or two, and possibly a draft pick and/or backup goaltender. Other names that have been connected to a trade include the Leafs' Nikolai Kulemin, John-Michael Liles, Korbinian Holzer and prospects Tyler Biggs, Stuart Percy and Jesse Blacker.
The key to a trade is the Canucks acquiring a center that can make an immediate impact. Problem being is that Bozak is being used as the first-line centre! Word is that the Leafs are willng to trade him but only if they can replace him via a second trade. The Leafs have been rumored to be interested in the Washington Capitals' C Mike Ribeiro and Dallas Stars' Derek Roy.
