Also den Bernier-Deal finde ich sehr gelungen. Dachte es würde bei den Kings ein bisschen mehr rausspringen, als das was jetzt von den Leafs erhalten.

Betreffend Phaneuf:
Tönt zunächst sehr gut, könnte man doch einen 6.5 Millionen Dollar-Jungen abgeben.
Hab mir dann die Cap-/Rostersituation der Leafs bei Capgeek schnell noch angeschaut und komme bereits auf ein ganz anderes Resultat:
-Wer soll bei denen eigentlich noch verteidigen? Wenn Phaneuf geht, sind gerade noch Gunnarsson (durchschnitt) plus Gardiner und Franson da. Liles völlig überbezahlt und den Rest kannst du einfach nicht gebrauchen, auf jeden Fall nicht für grosse Aufgaben. Zudem eigentlich so ziemlich jeder RFA oder UFA.

Fazit: Phaneuf behalten oder das halbe Team umstellen. (Mit weiteren Trades, UFA-Signing) Sonst sehe ich keinen Grund, warum die Leafs nächste Saison noch Spiele gewinnen sollten...

PS: Wusste ja gar nicht wie übel die Geldverteilung im Hause der Maple Leafs ist. Grabovski, Lulpul und Van Riemsdyk für 15 Millionen pro Saison!

PS II: Wann kommt wohl Philly ins Spiel um Phaneuf?

Der Trade mit Bernier finde ich super.
