Tschechien gewinnt mit 6:2 gegen Slowenien
Dank fünf Toren im Schlussdrittel und einem Hattrick von Dominik Kubalik drehten die Tschechen das Spiel gegen Aufsteiger Slowenien.
Für das Spiel gegen den Aufsteiger Slowenien stand bei den Tschechen Karel Vejmelka im Tor, bei den Slowenen Luka Gracnar. Nachdem die Slowenen eine erste Strafe nach 40 Sekunden überstanden gingen die Slowenen nach acht Minuten in Führung, der Weitschuss von Urbas wurde von Miha Verlic abgelenkt und landete via Schlittschuh von Dvorak zum 0:1 im Tor. Vier Minuten später konnten die Slowenen zum ersten Mal in Überzahl spielen, nach dem Querpass von Gregorc traf Jan Urbas mit seinem Direktschuss zum 0:2.
Die Tschechen versuchten im Mitteldrittel zu reagieren ohne lange Zeit zu einer klaren Torchance zu kommen. Die Slowenen setzten immer wieder Nadelstiche und hatten z.B. eine Möglichkeit durch Drozg nach 33 Minuten. In der 37. Minute kamen die Tschechen zur zweiten Überzahl und es war Dominik Kubalik der nach dem Querpass von Kempny auf 1:2 verkürzte.
Im Schlussdrittel kassierten die Slowenen nach vier Minuten eine weitere Strafe, diesmal bediente Tomasek Dominik Kubalik der zum 2:2 ausgleichen konnte. Eine Minute später bediente Vozelinek Roman Cervenka mit einem herrlichen Ablenker in die Hohe Torchecke zum 3:2. Die Entscheidung fiel in der 52. Minute als Sobotka den aufgerückten Verteidiger Michal Kempny bediente der auf 4:2 erhöhte. Damit war die Partie natürlich entschieden und die Tschechen traf zum 5:2 ins leere Tor durch Dominik Kubalik und 64 Sekunden vor Schluss durch Jakub Flek zum 6:2.
